Kingston Episcopal Parish, Mathews, will hold a Celtic service at 5:30 p.m. Sunday Kingston Parish Chapel, 370 Main Street, Mathews.
The string quartet Strings & Things will perform traditional Celtic music throughout the meditative candlelight service. People of all faiths are invited to attend and enjoy the time of prayer, reflection and silence, a release said
Food Fest
On Saturday, Oct. 21, Kingston will sponsor a “reimagined” version of its annual fall event, a Food Fest—a version of its traditional fall fair.
A release said the event will be held on the parish house lawn from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m., and it is a fundraising event to benefit the community.
Food choices will include homemade barbecue, Brunswick stew, hot dogs, baked goods, pickles, jams, mustards, cheese spreads, appetizers, soups, chili, sauces and frozen readymade meals for two.
Those attending may dine in on the hot items or take away.
