Kingston Parish ‘Creativity Fair’ begins Sunday

Kingston Parish is holding a monthlong “Inspired by the Spirit Creativity Fair” to showcase the creative talents of its parishioners.

The fair will open with a reception and a creative feast by the church’s culinary artists at 4 p.m. Sunday in Kingston Chapel, 370 Main Street, Mathews. The public is invited to attend.

On exhibit from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday and from 1-4 p.m. every Wednesday will be a wide range of creative expression, including paintings in all media, sculpture, wall hangings, quilts, shawls, hand-woven baskets, pottery, and jewelry. There will also be landscape designs, floral arrangements, and a vast number of unusual creative endeavors, said a press release.

The fair will run through Sunday, Sept. 11, with a closing reception at 4 p.m. During the month, members of the public are invited to visit the exhibit and use it as an inspiration for their own creativity, a release said. Those who are so inclined are invited to write a poem, story or essay a...
