King and Queen

Mathews High School crowned its Homecoming King and Queen before last Wednesday’s Mathews-West Point varsity soccer game. Normally held during halftime of a football game, this year the ceremony was postponed until the soccer season due to COVID-19 and the lack of a varsity football team. Seniors Landon Green and Stacie Thomas were this year’s recipients. They are shown here flanked by MHS assistant principal Lee Ann Bray and principal Drew Greve.
