Kindergarten registration next week

Gloucester Public Schools will hold kindergarten registration for the 2016-2017 school year from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. next Thursday, April 14, at all five of its elementary schools.

Children must be five years old on or before Sept. 30 to be eligible for kindergarten. The child’s birth certificate, physical exam report and immunization records are needed for registration, along with proof of residency and a current utility bill. For more information call the school your child will attend. 

Gloucester Public Schools also offers free preschool programs for eligible children residing in the Achilles, Bethel and Petsworth school attendance zones. 

Preschool candidates must be four years-old by Sept. 30 and potty-trained. Transportation and supplies are provided. For application information, call the elementary school your child would attend. ...
