KIMBERLY SUE DAVIDSON MCBRIDE

Kimberly Sue Davidson McBride, 43, passed away of sudden cardiac arrest on Sept. 5, 2014 at her home in Duvall, Wash.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas Todd McBride; children, Nathan, 15, Benjamin, 13, and Meredith, 10; as well as brother, Jeffrey Edward Davidson; parents, Lynn and Sue Davidson, and many loving members from the McBride and Davidson families.

She was preceded in death by her little twin sisters, Deborah and Dana.

Born in Norfolk, Va., Kimberly grew up in the County of Mathews, Va., amongst many childhood friends; attending Mathews High School excelling in basketball and track and graduating in June of 1989. Following high school, she enrolled at Brigham Young University, and was soon called to serve an 18-month mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bordeaux, France. Completing her education, she graduated from BYU in April 1997.

While attending BYU she met her future husband, Doug, and following their separate missions (Doug to Dominican Republic), they were married for all Time and Eternity in the LDS San Diego Temple.

Kimberly’s focus in life was to be a wife and mother, but those pursuits led her to serve actively in her church and community with almost unbridled energy and attention. Her life’s loves were God, family, church, friends, neighbors, and any stranger she could possibly befriend.

Services were held in the LDS Redmond Washington Stake Center on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014. Her body now resides in the quiet little Novelty Hill Cemetery in Duvall, Wash.
