KENWOOD BRYAN HARRIS

Kenwood Bryan Harris, 75, of Amelia, Virginia, departed this life on Nov. 28, 2016, peacefully and surrounded by family.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Frances Evelyn O’Neal and Bernard Ray Harris, and daughter, Kelly Brianna Harris. He is survived by his loving wife, Lola Rayburn Harris of Amelia; beloved daughter, Kimberly Ray Harris of Middleburg; granddaughter, Evelyn Lothrop Hitchen. He is also survived by his three wonderful brothers, Ronald Ray, Bernard Nelson and Everett Wayne (Sharon) Harris. Also left behind to treasure his memory are several nieces and cousins as well as a host of extended family and great friends in the Amelia, Richmond and Tidewater areas.

Ken was a U.S. Army veteran, long-distance truck driver, and lifelong farm boy. He worked hard on his family farm, loving and teaching to all his compassion and love of animals and nature. In private, he had a love and faith in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at Arbor Baptist Church in Amelia. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Richmond SPCA or Bon Secours Community Hospice House.
