KENNETH WILLIAM LOCK

Kenneth William “Bill” Lock, 71, husband of Linda May Lock and a resident of Gloucester, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2012 at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital.

A native of Washington, he was the son of the late Kenneth Roy Lock and the late Ella Ottison Lock.

Mr. Lock was the official taste tester at Mom’s Bake Shoppe in Gloucester. He was a retired Senior Test Technician at the Newport News Shipyard with 28 years of service and served and retired from the United States Navy as a Machinist Mate Chief with 20 years of service to his country.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a Deacon, he was a member of the Gloucester American Legion Riders Post #75.

Other than his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Linda Rickman and her husband Charles of Gloucester; two brothers, Donald Lock and his wife Dottie of Salem, Ore., David Lock of Neensh, Wis.; three sisters, Kay “Roy” Lock of Salem, Ore., Darlene Holder of Westminister, S.C., Sharon Lippincott of LaPine, Ore.; four brothers-in-law, Frankie Pugliese of Easton, Pa., Charles Pugliese of Bethlehem, Pa., Henry Pugliese of Saucier, Miss., James Pugliese of Hatfield, Pa.; a sister-in-law, Gloria Pugliese of Philadelphia, Pa.; two nieces, Kayla Freeman of Orlando Fla., Tiffany Pugliese of Bethlehem, Pa.; and a nephew, Charles Pugliese, Jr. of California. He was predeceased by a brother, Tim Lock.

Everyone who met Bill was touched by his loving soul. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Gloucester on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 2 p.m. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery will be held at a later date with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Women’s Circle Emergency Fund, P.O. Box 582, Gloucester, Va. 23061.

A visitation will be held Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Andrews Funeral Home Chapel in Gloucester.
