KENNETH ROSS WILLIAMS SR.

Kenneth Ross Williams, Sr., 84, of Gloucester, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018.

He was born in Morgan County, Missouri, and was the son of the late Henry Gail and Delia Madole Williams.

He retired from NASA in 1990 after 30 years of service. Following his retirement, he became the jack of all trades at Petsworth Baptist Church, and was a former member of Gloucester Ruritan Club. He loved meeting at Belroi Market every morning for breakfast with the usual group. He served in the U.S. Army for two years and was a tank driver.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary “Libby” Webb Williams, and brother, Lawrence Williams and is survived by his children, William W. Sims (Peggy), Kenneth R. Williams II (Donna) and Kara Robinson (Barry); sister, Mildred Burns; brother, David Williams; grandchildren, Wade, Eric, Barry Jr., Cassandra, Sorey, Josiah, Ross, and Andrew, and seven great- grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Petsworth Baptist Church on Friday, April 13, 2018, from 1-2 p.m., with funeral services starting at 2 o’clock. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Building Fund of Petsworth Baptist Church.
