Kathleen Lupei Abers, 68, of Hampton, died Nov. 11, 2015 at York Convalescent Center.

Kathy was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Hampton. She had been a Project Administrator with E.V. Williams, Inc., for 37 years. She enjoyed working in her yard and garden, watching the birds, and boating. Kathy was a wonderful friend and a loving and devoted daughter.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Catherine Lupei, and the love of her life, Vernon Deihl.

She is survived by her father, Max C. Lupei; sister-in-law, Gerri Deihl; uncle and aunt, Cecil and Cora Deihl; aunt, Leah Machatton; nephews, William and Robert Deihl; special friend, Betty White, and her E.V. Williams family.

A service of Funeral Christian Liturgy conducted by the Rev. James Cowles was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2015 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Gloucester, Va. Interment followed at 2:30 p.m. in Roseland Cemetery, Reedville, Va. The family received friends Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015, from 3-4:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
