Katherine F. Davis, “Kathy,” 72, of Gloucester, passed away on April 23, 2017 at home surrounded by loved ones.

She was the daughter of Maxwell H. and Catherine J. Davis.

Kathy graduated from Rappahannock High School in Warsaw, and then went on to receive her nursing degree. Most of her nursing career was spent with the Veteran Administration Hospital, Richmond.

She is survived by her friend, Carolyn S. Barthel, “Susie”; sister, Mary Ellen Thrift (David); brothers, Jack Davis, Max Davis (Deyann), Tim Davis (Martha), and Kevin Davis 

(Debbie); eight nieces and nephews, and eight great-nieces and -nephews.

Her parents and brother, Robert Davis, preceded her in death.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Welch Funeral Home, Mark’s Chapel, 10300 Richmond Road, Warsaw, Va. 

The family will receive friends from 10:30-11 a.m., prior to the service.
