KATE JENKINS HALL

Kate Jenkins Hall, 87, of Gloucester Point, a lifelong resident of Gloucester, passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital.

Kate was a member of the former Church of God, now New Life Ministry. She was associated for many years with First Virginia Bank as a teller and loan officer.

She enjoyed gardening, being on the water fishing, cooking for her family, and was an avid reader. We will miss her with all our hearts and will always cherish the times we spent together. She was always there when we needed her and she never wanted others to go out of their way for her.

She was preceded in death by husband, Everett W. Hall; daughter, Lucy Marrocco; parents, Robert and Mary Jenkins; sisters, Venice Jenkins and Goldie May; brothers, Paul Jenkins, Curtis Jenkins, Robert Kenneth Jenkins and Berdette Jenkins.

She is survived by her son, Fred Sheron; grandson, Chris Green; great-grandsons, Aaron Green and fiancée Irene and Brandon Green; great-great-grandson, Aaron Green Jr.; brother, Bernell Jenkins; sister, Stella Miante, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service conducted by the Rev. Richard Whiteheart was held at 12 noon Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment followed in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family greeted friends prior to the service on Tuesday from 11-noon at the funeral home.
