Karen Godsey Malone, 74, of Washington, D.C., died May 13, 2018. She was a native of Mathews County.

Survivors include her husband, Timothy H. Malone Jr.; a son, Brian Malone; two daughters, Catherine Malone and Shannon Shrodes; two grandchildren; a sister, Mary Ellen Edwards, and two brothers, William “Billy” Godsey Jr. and Kenneth Godsey.

A mass was held Wednesday, May 23, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Newman Catholic Church, Annapolis, Maryland.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (www.nationalmssociety.org/Donate) in honor of her daughter, Shannon, who is battling this disease.
