Karen Crocker Dayrit, age 49, of Foster, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012. She was co-owner, with her husband, of J.R.’s Convenience Store in Port Haywood, Va.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Velma Darlene Crocker.

She is survived by her husband, Carlos Dayrit; two sons, Carlos C. Dayrit and Fernando Dayrit, both of Foster; four sisters, Shelly Cameron (Gregory) of Bohannon, Va., Sherry Elmaayergy (Hatem) of Gloucester, Jacqueline Gerome (Steven) of Los Angeles, Calif., and Darlene Whitley (Jeff) of Wake, Va.; her father, Edward P. Crocker of Bohannon.

The family received friends Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, from 7-8 p.m. in the Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Va.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed in Providence Cemetery, Miles, Va.
