Karate classes begin next week

Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism is offering karate classes for ages 4 and older beginning next week.Classes are held on Mondays and Thursdays in the T.C. Walker cafeteria. Beginners ages 4-6 meet from 6-6:30 p.m.; beginners ages 7-10 meet from 6:40-7:10 p.m., beginners ages 10-12 and intermediates ages 6-10 meet from 7:20-8 p.m.

Advanced karate students ages 9-12 and all levels ages 13 and older meet from 8:10-9 p.m. Beginners are white and orange belts, Intermediates are yellow, green and blue belts and Advanced are brown and black belts.Beginner classes are $43, intermediates are $45 and advanced are $47 per six-week session. The deadline to register is Sunday.

YOGA: Gloucester PRT has several new yoga offerings in May. On Mondays from 5:30-6:45 p.m. is Yin Yoga. Yin Yoga is yoga for your joints.
