JV Lady Dukes blank Monarchs, 8-0

Another dominating performance by Gloucester High School junior varsity field hockey players gave them their eighth win Tuesday in an eight-goal blanking of host Menchville. 

The junior Dukes have scored 78 goals on the season while not allowing any. They have not even allowed a shot on their goal, despite allowing four penalty corners. 

Team scoring leader Chandler Johnson had three goals Tuesday, Jordan Scott chipped in two from the post on corner plays and goals came from Christina Riva, Alexis Adams and Madison Gross. 

Ella Poulson had three assists in the win, two each came from Johnson, Adams and Riva, and assists were provided by Bailey Andersen, Ainslee Brown and Gross. 

Gloucester beat visiting Woodside, 17-0, on Sept. 27 with three goals from Brown and two from Johnson to lead the Dukes. Twelve players had scoring assists, led by Johnson with six and Gross with three. Ball-sharing was at a premium for the Dukes while Woodside was playing in its first g...
