JV hockey shuts out Woodside

The Gloucester High School junior varsity field hockey team dominated visiting Woodside, 10-0, on Sept. 14 to improve to 8-0 on the season.

Mary-Ashton VanFossen and Kaylee Hall each scored twice in the win and goals came from Peyton Sutton, Chloe West, Emma Kadel, Payton Maples, Maddy Kadel and Hailey Pena-Hawk.

Gloucester coach Alexis Lester gave her MVP award of the game to Kendall Lands for her involvement in all aspects of the game. Although she did not score in this match-up, Lester said Lands’ hard work on the field allowed her teammates to score 10 times.
