JV Devils beat Tigers, 15-5

Midway through the 2019 season, the Mathews High School junior varsity baseball team holds a 4-4 record. The squad traveled to King and Queen Central High School Tuesday, April 16, beating the Tigers, 15-5.

Both teams played hard, but Mathews triumphed over a more inexperienced King and Queen team. For Mathews, the starter was Daniel Moughon going two innings, then Parker Smith, who also threw 2 innings. To close out the game Mathews brought in Dawson Adams.

The JV team traveled to West Point on Tuesday and will face Middlesex on the road today. The next home game for the JV Devils is on Thursday, May 2, against King and Queen. ...
