June Marjorie Buckland, 85, of Gloucester, Virginia, passed away at the Walter Reed Nursing and Rehab Center on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.

June is survived by her sisters, Virginia Meade and Myrtle Allen; son, Marcus Buckland Jr. and his wife Cheryl Buckland; daughter, Marcia Harless and her husband Allen Harless; daughter, Melanie Buckland; daughter, Michelle Buckland; niece, Karen Miller; nephew, Larry Dennis and his wife Donna Dennis, and many other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Campbell and Bernice Hayes; sister, Evie Vreeland; and niece, Sherry Vogal.

Born on June 30, 1940 in Lowesville, Virginia, June was a caring mother who loved nature. She was an avid artist who painted beautiful landscapes and sea scenes. She will be remembered for her caring heart and unconditional love.

A private memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at the Walter Reed Nursing and Rehab Center, Gloucester, at 3 p.m.
