June Clarke Shipley of Cobbs Creek, daughter of deceased parents Josephine and Wilburn Clarke, passed away on Jan. 22, 2018.

June was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, William Warren Shipley.

She is survived by son, Scott Shipley of Newport News; granddaughter, Leslie Shipley of Mathews; devoted sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Winder Gayle of Cobbs Creek, and Brenda and Guy Kemp of Dutton.

She was a member of Mathews Chapel United Methodist Church.

A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, at Windsor Gardens Cemetery.
