July 18 event at Reedville Museum for waterman photographer

Nothing stops Mike Fontaine from getting the photograph he wants. Even if it involves hanging onto a rope secured in a workboat, then dangling precariously over the gunwale with arm and camera outstretched. “It’s fun and exciting, but can be a bit dangerous,” admitted Fontaine, known as Kodachrome. He is a featured exhibitor at the Reedville Fishermen’s Museum this year. About 80 framed images of watermen and their work are on display and for sale in the Watermen’s Gallery. A meet-the-artist event will be held at the museum, 504 Main Street, from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, July 18. A bonus: Music will be offered by the other half of this talented couple, GennyWithAGee, who is in demand around the region. The evening is open to everyone and admission is free.
