Joyce Brown Eriksen, 89 years old, went home to the Lord on Jan. 30, 2019. She resided in Chesapeake, Virginia, and was a former resident of Mathews County, Virginia.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Norman G. Eriksen.

She is survived by three children, Christy Madeo (husband, Pete Madeo), Ronald Eriksen and Russ Eriksen (wife, Tamara Eriksen); eight grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

She traveled extensively with her husband as a result of his military career. She mostly enjoyed her role of mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Her services were held on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, in Virginia Beach.
