Joshua Perry Henness, 28, of Hayes, died unexpectedly Aug. 30, 2015.

Josh was born in Colorado and served in the U.S. Army. At the time of his death he was in the Virginia National Guard. He enjoyed sports, especially football and was a fan of the Denver Broncos and Kansas State Wildcats. Josh was a kind and loving person, whose memory will live forever in our hearts.

He is survived by his wife, Kathrine Henness; children, Savanna, Annalissa and Hannah Henness; parents, Steven and Karen Henness; brother, Andrew Henness, and sister, Amy Henness.

Graveside funeral service with military honors was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, Va. The family received friends Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. As Josh would wish, please come as you are to celebrate his life.
