On October 9, 2022, Joseph Franklin Stephenson, 80, of King and Queen County, died unexpectedly in a car accident in Gloucester, Va.

He is survived by daughter, Connie L. Simmons of Colonial Heights, Va., and daughter and son-in-law, Bobbie and Jeff Cook of Gloucester, Va.; grandchildren, Robert Cook, Amber (Cook) Smith, Michael Cook, Heather Stephenson and Reannen (Stephenson) Wooten; great-grandchildren, Hayden Forbes, Gavin McNeil and Dawson Smith.

The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. October 14 with a service at Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, followed by graveside service at Windsor Gardens Cemetery, Dutton, Va.

The family is sincerely grateful to the many friends and family who have given them support and comfort during this time of loss.
