John Stephen (Steve) Mickelborough, 62, of Mobjack, Virginia, passed away on Sept. 2, 2021. Steve was born in Williamsburg, Virginia, on Aug. 13, 1959. He spent most of his life living and working in the Northern Virginia area.
Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Callis Holman, and his stepmother, Katherine Townsend Mickelborough. He is survived by his father, John Albert Mickelborough Jr.; his stepfather, Howard William Holman; his two sisters, Melanie J. Farmer (Blaine) and Christy M. Brownley (Dalton); his two stepbrothers, Don Townsend (Karen) and Paul Townsend (Liz), and eight nieces and nephews.

Steve’s family is truly saddened by his death, gone but not forgotten. He will be forever missed by many.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Mathews Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, 4542 East River Road, Bohannon, Virginia 23021 on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mathews Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad (www.mathewsvfd.org).
