John Kistler Crum, 82 of Cobbs Creek, died Monday, April 29, 2019.

He was born on July 28, 1936 in Brownsville, Texas, to John M. and Mary L. Kistler Crum. He received both his B.S. in 1960 and his Ph.D. in 1964 from the University of Texas. In 1975, he graduated from Harvard from the Advanced Management Program. 

He was the CEO of the American Chemical Society, and the Executive Director of the American Chemical Society from 1983-2003.
