John Joseph Battee Jr., “JJ”, of Gloucester, was born Jan. 6, 1989. He died on March 12, 2016.

JJ was a sweet soul who always had a smile and was ready for a hug. He was a member of the Courthouse Restaurant family and was loved by many customers who always had kind words and appreciated his pleasant service.

JJ leaves behind his sister, Nicole and brother, Brian, both of New Hampshire, and his grandmother, Sarah Pintozzi of New Jersey.

A memorial service was held at Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory, 7192 Main St. Gloucester, on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 4 p.m. followed by a reception at the Courthouse Restaurant.

JJ will be missed by many. Kim and Doug Hibbs, owners of the Courthouse Restaurant, have a hole in their hearts along with their son Joshua Hibbs and all the restaurant staff.
