John Joseph Koenig, 90, of Dover, Delaware, passed away on Feb. 4, 2018 at Silver Lake Center Convalescent Center.

A native of New York, he lived most of his adult life on Long Island, New York, before retiring to Delaware with his wife, Jeanne Koenig, who passed away in 2014. He is survived by his four sons: John R. Koenig of Barrington, Rhode Island; George J. Koenig of Lewes, Delaware; James L. Koenig of Brooklyn, New York, and Charles E. Koenig of Mathews; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Berry-Short Funeral Home of Milford, Delaware, was in charge of arrangements. A graveside service was held on Wednesday afternoon.
