JOHN F. COSTER

John F. Coster of Gloucester, died peacefully on Sept. 21, 2017 from complications of pneumonia. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, on Dec. 26, 1946 to John and Mildred Coster.

John specialized in Human Resources before retiring and spent his life living in various states including New York, New Jersey, Texas, Connecticut and Virginia.

He was an avid New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys fan. His passions included fishing, hunting, playing cards and games, and vegetable gardening. His greatest joy was spending time with family, friends and especially playing with his grandchildren. They were the greatest joy of his life.

John was preceded in death by his son, Adam Coster, and his parents, John and Mildred Coster.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Donna M. Coster; his son, John F. Coster, wife Nicole and their two children, Logan and Amara; his son, Michael L. Coster; his sister, Joan Simone and her husband Bruce, and by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

John will always be remembered for his loving, kind and caring ways, and for always making people smile. 

A mass of Christian Funeral, conducted by the Rev. James Cowles, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at St. Therese Catholic Church, Main Street, Gloucester, Va.
