John Bronson West of Washington, D.C., passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026. He is survived by his loving mother and best friend, Marie, as well as his two brothers, James and Leslie, and Leslie’s son, John’s nephew, Hudson.
John was a lover of the finer things in life; a glass of champagne, a first-class plane ride, the perfect croissant but he never forgot his roots or where he came from. He also loved a small-town sandwich shop, or a stay in a hostel to get to know the locals.
From front row at concerts to eating in the world’s best restaurants, John found happiness in all that life offered. He filled his passport with travels between the Caribbean, Paris, Dublin, London, Portugal, Belgium, Mexico and every ocean in between, as he found joy in exploring new places and meeting new people.
His accomplishments could fill an encyclopedia. He had a storied tenured career of over 22 years with Ralph Lauren where his legacy will be the friends he made along the way and the records that he broke.
John had a circle of friends all over the globe and he will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have crossed his path
There was a visitation on Wednesday, May 6 from 3:30-6 p.m., with the funeral service starting at 6, at Andrews Funeral Home Gloucester, Va.
