Joe William Winn, 79, of Gloucester, died at his home Dec. 16, 2012.

Joe was a native of North Carolina, served in the Air Force, and had been an associate with Quinn Motors, Inc., for 15 years as a sales representative, and lived in Gloucester for the past 30 years.

He was a devout Christian who loved to read his Bible daily and read the Bible to his grandchildren regularly. Joe loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar. He was a wonderful listener and advisor and was completely dedicated to his wife, children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia Aurelia “Rea” Winn; son, Doug Winn and wife Angela Watkins-Winn; daughter, Lori Wells and husband Kenneth; grandchildren, Brooke Nicole Winn and fiancé Derek Goodson, Lauren Hope Winn, Williams Hunter Winn and wife Ryann, Amanda Jo Wells, Lee Wells and Nick Watkins, and two great-grandchildren, Makayla Hope Goodson and Landin Shoal Wells.

Funeral services conducted by the Rev. Michael Gray will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment will follow in Newington Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at the funeral home.
