JoAnn West, 65, of Peary, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 7, 2019.

JoAnn was born on Dec. 11, 1953, daughter of the late William C. and Catherine M. West.

She is survived by her fiancé, Mike Matthews; sons, Darrell Pittman (Angela) and Joey Mandell (Nicole); brothers, Billy West and Bobby West (Betty); grandchildren, Maria, Jackson, and Kendall; nieces; nephews, and her beloved dog, Susie.

She was a devoted Washington Redskins fan and loved the water and the beach. She most enjoyed spending her time boating and being surrounded by her family and friends.

She was a life member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church, Peary.

Visitation with family will be held at Bethel United Methodist Church, 1459 Garden Creek Road, Mathews, on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2019, from 3-4 p.m., followed by a celebration of life and fellowship.
