Joan B. O’Toole, 84, of Gloucester, died Feb. 6, 2017 at Riverside Convalescent Saluda. 

Joan was a stay-at-home person who enjoyed listening to country music and making crafts. She had a fantastic sense of humor. Her kindness and warm heart will be missed by all who knew her. 

Joan is survived by her devoted daughter, Janie Rosener (Bruno); grandchildren, Jennifer Michalak, Heather Heaney and Lisa Lawhead; great-grandchildren, Nickyee Green, Michael Gurnick, Danielle Gurnick, Jacob Michalak, Ciera Michalak, Emily Heaney and Tommy Heaney, and great-great-grandchild, Emmarena.

A memorial service conducted by Chaplain Robert Bryant will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. The family will receive friends prior to the service Sunday from 1-2 o’clock at the funeral home. 

In Joan’s memory, the family desires contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
