Jessie Ann Jenkins (Timmons) of Hayes, Va., went to her heavenly home on the morning of April 6, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Decatur, Ill., then later found her home in Gloucester, Va., where she found and married the love of her life.

She was preceded in her death by her parents, Nora Jean and Bobby Ashby Timmons of Gwynn, Va.

Jessie is survived by her loving husband, Lester (Harry); her children, Bobby Timmons, Crystal and husband James E. Jenkins III, Barbara and Frank Brown, Amanda, Mae and fiancé Chris Smith; her loving grandchildren, Skyler and Tyler Brown, Marina and Selena Jenkins; her beloved pet, Cocca (Zooma); her brothers, Steven and William Timmons, and sister, Barbara Byrd.

Jessie had a love for yard sales, sipping on a cold Slurpee; she was better known as Tubby, Momma Jessie and most importantly, Foolish Ganny. Most of all, she enjoyed sitting outside on her deck watching her fish and shooting the breeze with her dear friend Kathleen Green.

Any contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Jessie.

The family received friends at Gloucester Point Baptist Church on Monday, April 11, 2016, from 1-2 p.m. with a memorial service on Monday, April 11, 2016, at 2 o’clock.

Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory, Gloucester, was in charge of arrangements.
