JERRY DEAN CROWDER

Jerry Dean Crowder, 64, of Hayes died at his home Sunday, April 2, 2017. A native of the Glass area of Gloucester, Jerry worked on the water many years clamming. For the last six years Jerry had been associated with Rosewell Memorial Garden and Hogg Funeral Home. He was hard-working, loved to be outdoors, and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Jerry’s favorite color was red and he drove a red Dodge truck. Jerry will be missed by everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by wife, Debra Kay Crowder; father, Raymond Crowder; mother, Joyce Jenkins; step-father, Howard Jenkins; and sister, Judy Warren.

He is survived by his daughter, Nina Ernsting (Justin); grandchildren, Evelyn, Markus and Skylar; brothers, Raymond “Motie” Crowder (Theresa) and Howard Lane Jenkins (Betsy); a niece and nephew.

Graveside funeral service conducted by the Rev. Bill West will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 8, 2017, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
