Jerry Coleman Ramsey, 67, of Waynesboro, Virginia, died Friday, July 1, 2016.

He was born on July 15, 1948, in Nelson County, Virginia, and was the son of the late Coleman and Pauline Fitzgerald Ramsey. Jerry was a retired Lineman/Supervisor with Dominion Virginia Power Company, having served 34 years with the company. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca McCulley Ramsey, and a brother, James L. Ramsey.

Survivors include three daughters, Christine Arey, Marla Ailstock, both of Waynesboro, and Christa Cornwell of Lexington; one son, Scott Ramsey of Staunton; three brothers, Jacqy Ramsey and wife Arlene of Gloucester, Claude Ramsey and wife Linda of Staunton, and Michael Ramsey of Mobjack, Va.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Warren officiating. Interment will follow in the Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home.
