Jerri Morgan Doggett, 62, of Gloucester Point, passed away April 23, 2018, at York Convalescent Center.
Jerri and her twin sister were born July 1, 1955 to C. Ray and Alice Doggett. She attended school and therapy at the Richmond Cerebral Palsy Center until age 18. When the family moved to Gloucester, Jerri joined the Adult DayBreak Center in Gloucester, where she enjoyed participating in crafts, singing, and interacting with others. Jerri also attended Westhampton United Methodist Church in Richmond, and Bethany United Methodist Church, Gloucester Point. She was a kind, happy, loving woman who never met a stranger. We will miss her sweet spirit and joyful smile.
She was preceded in death by her father, C. Ray Doggett.
Jerri is survived by her mother, Alice Newbill Doggett; her twin sister, Sherri D. Torode and husband Chuck; brother, Clifford Ray Doggett Jr. and wife Katie, and nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Bethany United Methodist Church. The Rev. Mike Derflinger and the Rev. Arthur Wolz Jr. conducted. Inurnment was private.
