Thomas Jenkins covered Saturday’s course of a swim, bike ride and run in 48:44.8 to capture the first of five micro-triathlons to be held this summer at Williams Wharf.

The events are sponsored by the Virginia Tidewater Trailrunners and include a quarter-mile swim, eight-mile bike course and two-mile run.

Following Jenkins were Christopher Wells in 49:35.6, and Patricia Wiedemann in 56:01.6. In all, nine athletes took part.
