The featured speaker at Rappahannock Community College’s 40th commencement will be Gloucester resident Michael D. Jenkins, executive director of the Bay Consortium Workforce Investment Board, Inc. The ceremony is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday on the front lawn of the school’s Warsaw campus.
In his job, Jenkins provides ongoing liaison with local elected officials and other public agencies to ensure that training and support meet community needs, and participates in regional, state, and national committees regarding employment and training services.
After earning an associate’s degree from RCC, Jenkins graduated from James Madison University with a bachelor’s degree in political science, and later added coursework at Virginia Commonwealth University to his academic portfolio.
