Jen Little resigns from Mathews School Board

Jen Little, a member of the Mathews County School Board for the past nine years, tendered her resignation to that body Tuesday night after having moved to the Harrisonburg area last month.

“It is with a heavy heart that I submit my resignation from the Mathews County School Board, effective immediately,” Little announced at the conclusion of Tuesday’s meeting, which was held in the Mathews High School media center.

“I have sincerely enjoyed advocating for our children and employees at all levels of government for the past nine years. This has been a deeply rewarding experience for me, personally and professionally.”

In addition to no longer residing in Mathews County, Little also cited the election of Donald Trump as president as a factor in her resignation.
