Jeffrey Daniel “Danny” Peters, 56, Gloucester, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016 at his home.

He was born in Newport News, Virginia and was the assistant produce manager at the Food Lion Store in Mathews. He was a member of West Point Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Ann Deckard Peters. 

He is survived by his wife, Julie McKinney Peters; daughter, Danielle Peters; stepdaughter, Emily Groome; stepson, Cody Groome; his father, Kenneth J. Peters and his wife Cindy; sister, Melody Vaughn; nieces, Megan Kern and Morgan Cox; great-nephew, Liam Kern, and a host of extended family.

The family received friends at the funeral home on Friday, Dec. 30, 2016 from 6:30-8 p.m. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
