A Celebration of Life service for Jeanette Blake Smith, 81, of Hayes, was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, in Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Bena. She died on Jan. 17, 2018.

Mrs. Smith was a member of Bethlehem U.M. Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Hansford E. “Dook” Smith Sr.; her parents, James Robert and Hallie Rowe Blake; brother, James R. Blake Jr.; and sisters, Doris Fleming Shackelford and Margaret Blake Davis.

Survivors include her son, Hansford E. Smith Jr.; daughter, Betty Sue Martin; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. 

The service was conducted by the Rev. Carol Bookwalter; interment followed in Gloucester Point Cemetery.
