Mrs. Jean B. Ewell Parker, 84, wife of the late Bill Parker and George Edward Ewell, of Gloucester, passed away on Aug. 15, 2015 at the Gloucester House Assisted Living Center in Gloucester, Va.
Born on Oct. 1, 1931 in Silva, Va., she was the daughter of the late Levin Brittingham and Ruth Pettit Brittingham. She was a homemaker and a member of White Marsh Baptist Church in Gloucester.
Jean is survived by a son, George Edward Ewell Jr. and wife Evalene of New Church; a daughter, Jill E. Falzone of Gloucester; five sisters, Katherine Mason, Alma Baylis, Eleanor Langley, Annette Bynum, and Judy Elliott; two brothers, Wayne Brittingham and Dale Brittingham; two grandchildren, Kyle Falzone and Morgan Falzone, and one great-grandchild.
Other than her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Olive Marshall and Betsy Jenkins, and two brothers, Jack Brittingham and Jim Brittingham.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, Aug. 18 at 2 p.m. from the Greenbackville Union Cemetery in Greenbackville, Va.
