Janet L. Pethick, age 81, of Gloucester, passed away peacefully on Nov. 25, 2015 at home with family by her side after a short battle with cancer.

She is survived by her husband, Robert of 45 years. Also surviving are her son, Doug Phillips (Cathy); daughter, Robin Freeman (Robert); son, James Phillips (Claudia); daughter, Holli Brandt; son, Joseph Pethick; stepchildren, Laura Ranger, Eileen Everage, Steven Congdon; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family will have a celebration of her life on Dec. 12, 2015 at her home, 9038 Chriscoe Lane, Gloucester, for family and friends from 1-3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society.
