Janet Haynes Abrams of Mathews, went to be with her heavenly Father on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019.

Janet was born on Aug. 8, 1939 to William Randolph “Rannie” Haynes and Hilda Milby Haynes. She was predeceased by her parents, and her two brothers, Wyndom and Sherwood Haynes.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Thomas Abrams; two daughters, Trinia Timberlake (Jerry) and Tracey Sorey (Robby); three grandchildren, Abigail Sorey, Jarett Timberlake and Emily Sorey; two sisters-in-law, Kathryn Haynes and Barbara Crockett, and several nieces and nephews.

Janet’s family would like to thank the staff of Riverside Walter Reed Hospice, especially the two special angels who walk on this earth, Gina Rowe and Pam Hudson, who provided loving care to Janet for nearly one year. There will be a memorial service on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews. The family will receive friends from 1-2 prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Janet’s name to Riverside Walter Reed Hospice, 7358 Main Street, Gloucester, Va. 23061.
