Jane Diane Lyerly, 68, of Gloucester, Va., passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, in Riverside Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Newport News, Va., to the late George and Jane Stanaway Kent. She retired in 2005 from Gloucester County School System as a bus driver, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Marion Lee “Boo” Jenkins III. She is survived by her husband, Howard M. Lyerly Jr.; her children, Jon Lyerly (Debbie), Caroline Jenkins (Marion); her sisters, Pat Jones and Virginia Smith, and her grandchildren, Jennifer Smith (Tommy), John Tyler Lyerly and Porscha Lyerly.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
