James Wood Whitt, born on Jan. 7, 1939 in Richmond, passed away on March 31, 2019 in Woodbridge.

His parents, William James Whitt and Lola Wood Whitt, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn Ruth Bondurant; two daughters, Tara Lynn Blot and Kimberly Anne Scites, both of Woodbridge; two granddaughters, Danielle Marie Blot of Washington, D.C., and Analisa Marie Scites of Woodbridge; two sisters, Frances Ann Gilliam of Concord, and Sharon Lynn Thornton of Richmond; and two brothers, William Beverly Whitt of Waldorf, Maryland, and Ronald Howard Whitt of Wicomico.

A private gathering was held at Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home. The graveside service was April 12, 2019 in Windsor Gardens Cemetery, Dutton.
