A funeral for James W. “Tucker” Smith Sr., 92, of Achilles, was held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. He died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017.

He was a professional trucker, having driven for many years for York River Seafood Co. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Estelle Smith, and son, Harold Dennis Smith.

Survivors include two daughters, Alice Marie Hall, Diane Coates; three sons, James W. “Tucker” Smith Jr., Howard Smith and Roy Gene Smith; sister, Mary E. West; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

The service was conducted by the Rev. Nancy Roach. Interment followed in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery.
