James Sterling Beale, 59, of Mathews, passed away on Dec. 19, 2025 at Mary Immaculate Hospital, Newport News.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard Beale Jr. and Lois Beale.

Survivors include four sons, Clyde Antonio Peterson Jr., Christopher James Ferguson-Beale, Joshua Anthony Beale and James Franklin Beale; three daughters, Aliza Darlynn Beale, Breonna Tori Beale and Lois Faith Beale; brothers, Lorenzo Veney, Kermit Beale and Allan Beale; one sister; Juanita Beale-Pryor, and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at New Hope Fellowship, Deltaville. The viewing will be held at the church from 11 a.m. until the start of the service.

Forrest Brothers Funeral Home, Hudgins, is in charge of the arrangements.
