JAMES SHELDON FOSTER

James Sheldon Foster, 73, of Cobbs Creek, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018.

He retired as a Logistics Management Specialist with the Department of Defense at the Naval Weapons Station in Yorktown. After retiring from the Weapons Station, he drove a school bus for the Middlesex County school system. He was a member at Cornerstone Fellowship Church, Cobbs Creek. He was also a member of the Oriental Lodge AF & AM #20, Mathews, and was one of the founding members of the Poplar Neck Hunt Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Marjorie Foster.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly A. Foster; his sons, John S. Foster (Nicole) and Eugene S. Foster (Sue); grandsons, John Wilson Foster, Sterling Foster, and Joshua Foster; one granddaughter, Beverly Foster; his brother, Thomas W. Foster, and many nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews. Masonic rites will start at 7 o’clock, with Pastor Chris Morgan to follow. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-7. Interment will be private at a later date.
