James Lee Walton Sr., 92, of Saluda, passed away on Dec. 1, 2019 at his home with his family by his side.

He was predeceased by his parents, Emmett and Lula Walton of Glenns, and his son, James Lee Walton Jr.

Lee leaves behind his wife of 74 years, Emma Lee; sons, Bruce and Brian (Sadie); sister, Rebecca; brothers, Billy (Mae) and Lloyd; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

He was a carpenter and superintendent with Kjellstrom and Lee Construction in Richmond. When he retired, Lee and Emma Lee moved to Urbanna Creek where he built their home. Lee spent many hours feeding the animals, watching sunsets, and spending time with his family near the water.

A memorial service will be held at Forest Chapel United Methodist Church, 316 Forest Chapel Road, Warner, on Saturday, Dec. 21 at 11 a.m.
